December 10: Top ten books on my winter 2013 TBR list
Well, this is a little embarrassing! I don’t have the greatest track record with these. I read three books off my fall list, and only one off the summer list, so that’s and improvement, right? Right?? Oh well! Here’s what I want to read this season, in no particular order (and no promises 😉 ):
- 11/22/63 by Stephen King (finish)
- Sudden Sea by R. A. Scotti (finish)
- MaddAddam by Margaret Atwood
- Five Days at Memorial by Sheri Fink
- Columbine by Dave Cullen
- Driven by Donald Driver
- Before I Go to Sleep by S. J. Watson
- The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
- Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline
- The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan
What’s at the top of your reading list this season?
In theory The Goldfinch and MaddAddam are on my winter TBR list as well. The Orphan Train is supposed to be amazing. My mom was literally unable to do anything else until she finished this book.
Oh wow! I ended up downloading it as an ebook to my iPad when it was on a sale a while ago. One of my bookish new year’s resolutions is to get through some of those ebooks! I have about 12 and only read 1 so far! Hard to resist a title you’ve been eyeing at only $1–$2 😉
Great list- I have heard many good things about Five Days. Enjoy!
Thanks! I think I will 🙂
I always like a list that has some slightly older books on it. Good luck with reading everything on your list, I probably won’t finish my list (shiny new) books are sure to get in the way
Yeah I have a feeling due to my new-releases-buying habit in 2013 I’ll be reading a lot of year-old books by the end of 2014! 🙂
So many good choices in here! 11/22/63, MaddAddam, and Orphan Train all rocked my socks. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Thanks! I have the next two nights off after work (usually I have rehearsals or meetings or something) so I’m looking forward to getting a lot of reading done soon! Since I only read one off my summer list and three off my fall list, I’m shooting for five off this list 😉
Five Days was so good! Actually your whole list is awesome. Good luck reading them all!
Thanks! Well, I figure I have until March 20 (Spring equinox)… giving me a… 30% chance of reading them all?? LOL!
True. You totally can read them all!
