my life according to books 2013

I discovered this fun meme over on Words for Worms, who said she found it on Pop Culture Nerd via Fourth Street Review (all great blogs), and since I’m so behind on book review posts I thought this would be a fun quick post to do instead today! It’s kind of like Mad Libs, or that one meme I’ve seen where you choose random song titles from your iTunes library, but for this one you use titles from the books you’ve read this year (so far). Just the titles, though—answers don’t necessarily have any bearing on the content of these books, but I’ve linked the titles to my reviews here. Here we go!

My to-do list looks like: Isaac’s Storm. Just a destructive hot mess. (Alternate: Frozen in Time.)

If a peeping tom looked into my bedroom, they’d: [see] Dark Places. (Alternate: The Hot Zone. Holla! J/K my bedroom is freezing. I should add “put plastic on the windows” to my Isaac’s Storm up there.)

If martians met me, they’d think: [“We took] A Walk Across the Sun [for this?”]

My doctor is always telling me: How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia. I guess? I don’t need to go to the doctor very often!

The weirdest thing that happened this past week: World War Z. Watch out for Zeke.

I often daydream about: Salt Sugar Fat. Ha!

The government shutdown makes me: [think certain elected people make Washington a] City of Thieves.

If I won the lottery, I’d: [go] Wild. WHOO!

My superpower is: The Dinner. I love to cook and about half the time I’m just experimenting, but it all usually ends up pretty damn delicious! :p

I knew I was a book lover when: [reading became my most] Beloved [activity].

Fun! What are your answers?
