it’s monday! what are you reading?

It’s Monday, what are you reading?—a weekly blog meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

Almost forgot to do an IMWAYR post!! Tonight is Monday Night Football with my beloved Green Bay Packers puttin’ some hurt on the Chicago Bears. Can’t wait to watch!

But for reading, I’m continuing with Stephen King’s 11/22/63 for our #112263Along… I’m already into Part 3, about 30% done! I’m sure lots of activities will come along later this month and early December to distract me from reading (rehearsals, concerts) and I’ll fall behind a bit. Hopefully I can keep up this pace, though!

#112263AlongAnd we’d love to have you join us on the #112263Along! Read the announcement post here and sign up with the Mr. Linky. We’re going through December 22 so there’s plenty of time to join!

Otherwise I’m also reading The Hot House by Richard Preston. It’s about a mysterious, deadly virus that originated deep in a cave in Africa and suddenly surfaced in Washington, DC. I’m not to the DC part yet but so far it’s pretty disgusting and terrifying anyway (shudder) but also fascinating. I’m almost halfway through.

Oh and I have two review posts to write this week: The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood and True Grit by Charles Portis. Hopefully by Thursday or Friday I can have these done and posted!

What are you reading this week?

  1. Sounds like a good week of reading! I’m finishing up Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch. I was able to get a bit of reading done while at my polling place for 14 hours yesterday. Otherwise, it’s been very tough to find time to read lately. 😦

    • Yeah! I know it seems like I’m reading a lot, but I’m actually having trouble fitting in time myself lately. Just seem to always have something scheduled after work every evening!

14-hours… yikes. But at least you had a good book with you! The Goldfinch has been on my radar for a little while now. Hopefully I will get a copy soon!
