September 17: Top ten books on my fall 2013 TBR list
Confession… this is a slightly embarrassing list since I only read one of the top ten books on my summer 2013 TBR list (#4)… yikes. Not that I wasn’t reading, just other stuff sort of came up. So I guess in addition to the other nine from that list (and the rest of my TBR Pile and Eclectic Reader challenges…), here are my TBR tops for the fall, in no particular order:
- The Year of the Flood and MaddAddam by Margaret Atwood (a twofer!)
- Transatlantic by Colum McCann
- The Son by Philipp Meyer
- Moloka’i by Alan Brennert
- Someone Knows My Name by Lawrence Hill
- The Hot Zone by Richard Preston
- Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy
- Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die by Willie Nelson
- We Are Water by Wally Lamb
- Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
What’s at the top of your reading list this fall?
I doubt I’ll get to all the titles on my Fall TBR list either, but it was fun to at least THINK about which books I’d like to read. You’ve got some great ones on your list — I loved MOLOKA’I and I really want to read both WE ARE WATER and BURIAL RITES.
Happy TTT!

Yeah, it was fun coming up with the list. Hoping to maybe crack 2, at least then I will have beaten my summer TBR list 😉 have a good one!
Good to see an Australian on the list. I hope you enjoy Burial Rites 🙂
I first noticed Burial Rites on your blog! 🙂
Then it must be good 😉
I like you’re twofer, but I’m upping it to a threefer. I’m planing on re-reading the first two books this fall and then diving into MaddAddam. I can’t wait.
Awesome idea. I picked up Oryx & Crake on a whim this summer and LOVED IT… I had no idea until right after I finished that it was the first of a series and the finale was being newly released this year! I have Flood and MaddAddam already in hand, waiting for me to finish my current reads 🙂
