Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, it looked like a fun way to get thinking and sharing about books and bookish things.
June 18: Top ten books at the top of my summer TBR list
So, so many on my TBR. Well, maybe it’s not too out of hand, I have seen some longer TBRs on other online blogs! I think I’m sitting on around 40 physical (or audio or digital) books to read, and then of course many more I want to read but are just on my Goodreads digital bookshelves. Here’s what I definitely want to get to this summer, though, in no particular order:
- A Constellation of Vital Phenomena by Anthony Marra
- The Round House by Louise Erdrich
- Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris
- The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer
- Adrift by Steven Callahan
- The End of Your Life Book Club by Will Schwalbe
- The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan
- My Cross to Bear by Gregg Allmann
- Cooked by Michael Pollan
- The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
And of course I’m going to keep up with my 2013 TBR Pile Challenge and Eclectic Reader Challenge, reading one book per month off each of those lists.
What’s at the top of your summer TBR?
I also have The End of Your Life Book Club on my list — it looks heartbreaking!
It does, but also looks like a lovely tribute. I look forward to reading it!
I have The End of Your Life Book Club… way down on my list somewhere. And about as many books in my possession to-read as you, if you count purchases and library books. The purchases just get shuffled to the bottom, because you don’t have to give them back in three weeks…
There’s not enough hours in the day, is there?
There really aren’t enough hours for all the books!
I’ve read 1,2,4,6 & 7. You’re in for a GREAT summer of books 🙂
I hope I can get to them all this summer! If not… there’s always fall 🙂
I’m intrigued by the sound of The End of Your Life Bookclub! 🙂
I think I might have to move it to the top of my pile now! 🙂
