nye readathon 2012

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve! The day is gloriously devoid of plans for me, and we’re supposed to get some snow in Kansas City—what could be better than spending the day reading? Earlier today I found the NYE Readathon 2012 over at The Picky Girl and I’m happy I can finally participate in a readathon. Here are my plans for the day:

  • Finish reading Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk by Ben Fountain.
  • Get a jump on reading my first book of 2013… still need to pick which one…
  • Write my little review post of Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter.
  • Drink wine!

I have a little work to do tomorrow at home, so realistically I can’t read all day long. But if I can at least finish reading Billy Lynn’s and write the Beautiful Ruins post I’ll be happy.

  1. I love your plans! And I’m really curious about Billy Lynn. I haven’t heard much about it other than the title.

Happy reading! So glad you’re joining us.

  2. Have a great readathon dearie! I’ll be reading a bit today, but mostly I need to clean this house after the wreckage of the holidays, lol
