30 Day Book Challenge | Day 28 — A book that reminds you of home

I have two books for my two “homes”…

Uprising by John Nichols reminds me of my birthplace: Madison, Wisconsin. Even though I couldn’t be there for the political protests at the Capitol in 2011, Nichols’s history and viewpoints were informative and captured the spirit of the movement and people (read my review here). My second and current home is Kansas City, Missouri, and a book that reminds me of KC is The Mafia and the Machine by Frank R. Hayde. This book chronicles the fascinating history and connections of organized crime and organized politics in Kansas City.

What book reminds you of home?
