food rules

While not groundbreaking or revelatory in any way, Michael Pollan’s Food Rules is an excellent introduction to Pollan and a no-nonsense, short, sweet guide to becoming more aware of what you put in your body. Our American culture and relationship with food has become so complicated, and Pollan reminds us how simple it was and should be to “eat food, not too much, mostly plants.” I love Michael Pollan and I only wish this was his first book I had read. If someone is interested in reading a Michael Pollan book, direct them to this one first.
